Annual Leave
Employers are required to provide rest and leave time. The obligation for employers to provide leave to workers is regulated in Article 81 number 25 of the Job Creation Law which amends Article 79 paragraph (a) of the Manpower Law (Pasal 81 angka 25 UU Cipta Kerja yang mengubah Pasal 79 ayat (a) UU Ketenagakerjaan)
In addition to the annual leave of at least 12 working days which is commonly known, there are a number of leave rights that must also be provided.
This right to leave is known as “special leave”. Based on the provisions of Article 93 paragraph (2) of the Employment Law (Pasal 93 ayat (2) UU Ketenagakerjaan), the following are a number of special leave rights that workers have.
Sick Leave
There is no specific number of days for sick leave in Indonesia; however, the employee’s salary will be decreased based on how long the employee will be away.

Menstrual Leave
Multinational companies in Indonesia are also required to provide menstrual leave to female employee, in accordance with labor law provisions. Female workers are entitled to 2 days of leave on the first and second day of menstruation, while still receiving full wages.
Maternity Leave
Female employees are entitled to receive fully paid maternity leave for a period of three months, which include 1.5 months before giving birth and 1.5 after childbirth.
In the case of miscarriage, female employees are entitled to 1.5 months of paid leave or as specified by a doctor.
Paid Leave
Employers must provide paid leave for the following reasons:

| Employee’s wife gives birth or has a miscarriage | 2 days |
| Death of the employee’s spouse, child/child in-law, parents or parents-in-law | 2 days |
| Death of the family members living in the same house with the employee | 1 day |
